How ePropelled became the experts in Magnetic Engineering
In 2018, Nick Grewal went looking for experts in magnetic engineering because he saw enormous potential in the future of magnetic technology and electromagnetic propulsion, particularly with electric motors. Nick found and determined that Electronica UK and SwimDrive, both of the UK, were the most advanced products in this category and the best patented technology out there. He formed ePropelled, Inc. out of those acquisitions and a US-based headquarters was established in Lowell, MA. Nick is currently building a fantasy-league team of all-stars to put his intuition into motion.
Founded in 1999 and based in Cardiff, Wales, Electronica UK’s core business was in the design of leading-edge magnetic systems and the electric motor. The company won several grant awards from the Welsh Government, Technology Strategy Board and the Carbon Trust for their innovative designs. They hold 7 patents for those designs with several others still pending. Putting magnetics to work is their specialty and they have solved some pretty difficult problems with that technology.
ePropelled, the experts in magnetic engineering, is now the future of electric propulsion. The products (propulsion motors, starter generators, and power management units) are currently suited for applications in aerospace, electric vehicles, water pumps, and many more verticals to be explored soon. ePropelled will bring manufacturing back to Lowell, MA, the first planned mill city of America.

Nabeel ShirazeeGlobal CTO & MD
Nabeel graduated from Leicester University in 1990 where he studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering. An M.Sc. in magnetic engineering followed at Cardiff University where he continued his Ph.D. studies and developed a permanent magnet lifting system that was patented by Cardiff University. His keen interest in magnetics led to a patented magnetic levitation system, which was awarded the “World’s No 1 Invention” at INPEX in the USA. In 1999 he founded Electronica, a magnetics research & design consultancy. Since then he has been involved with various challenging projects, including the design of an actuator motor for a British aerospace company. He also licensed the magnetic levitation technology to a Company in France.
