Electronic Engine Starter
ePropelled’s Electronic Engine Starter (EES) modules will power a starter generator to start your internal combustion engines for UAV and other aircraft. This allows the starter generator to function as a battery-powered motor for hybrid applications including power assist for take-off and extended range for emergency landings.
Many UAVs still use internal combustion engines because they provide efficient propulsion systems for UAV applications, but power requirements can often lead to choosing an engine that is not as fuel-efficient as possible for steady flight, additional weight, reduced flight time, and cost to the aircraft. An intelligent and integrated power electronics system can help resolve this dilemma.
ePropelled’s electronic engine starter can change the starter generator from a power generation mode to a power assist mode. Incorporating an electronic engine starter as a component of the power electronics eliminates the need for separate external starters.
Electronic Engine Starters for UAV are built with quality materials and are assembled in the USA.
Our family of EESs are available in two sizes (3000 W and 6000 W) to meet the requirements of your defense, security, or commercial mission profiles:
EES3000
The EES3000 delivers a total output power of 3000 W utilizing a 24V input voltage.

EES6000
The EES6000 delivers a total output power of 6000 W utilizing a 96V input voltage.

EESMC6000
EESMC6000 combines the EES6000 with a motor controller.

UAV Electronic Engine Starters (EES) can be paired with ePropelled’s Intelligent Power Systems and Starter Generators for the smartest onboard avionics in the industry.
